The First Saturday Night Social At The New Hub for KAWAGAMITES - 2011
It will be 5 Years since the Reunion.
So
LET’S GO TO CAMP ONE MORE TIME, BUT THIS TIME FOR AN OVERNIGHT AND A VERY SPECIAL EVENT!!!
Our old beloved Hub is coming down this summer and will be replaced by a beautiful new building. The actual inauguration of the new Hub will be done by the fortunate children who will be at Moorelands Camp (always Camp Kawagama in our hearts.....) in the summer of 2011. But, we thought you might like to see it too, and get together, one more time....... Our last reunion was, Such a Good Time.
On a weekend in September 2011 we have an opportunity to inaugurate the New Hub with a Saturday Night Social - Kawagama style!!
Here’s what we have in mind:
-Arrive at camp for lunch Saturday September 10, 2011
-Settle in to your cabin and enjoy the island
-Saturday night Banquet in the magnificent dining hall
-1st Saturday night social for Kawagamites in the New Hub.
-Only 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s music
-Wine, beer and Bug Juice
- Evening snacks
-Campfire at Indian council
-Spend the night at camp in one of the “new” cabins
- They are bug free and some even have baseboard heaters.
-Sunday morning “sleep in”
-Breakfast….enjoy the island….Lunch
-Return to “The Landing” for the trip home.
The cost of this weekend we estimate to be about $350.00 and will cover all meals, drinks, accommodation and will also help fund the construction of the fireplace to be built in the Hub.
